The second Foreign Ministers meeting of the Informal Eastern Partnership (EaP) dialogues will take part in Tbilisi on 12 and 13 February. Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle and Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service Helga Schmid will attend the meeting.
Foreign Ministers and high level officials of the Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine) will be gathered to discuss the implementation of reforms related to the European agenda just few months ahead of the third Summit meeting in Vilnius in November this year. In the context of the foreign ministers meeting, another ministerial meeting will also take part. The second meeting will be dedicated to transport. Vice President Siim Kallas will represent the European Commission.
The Informal EaP dialogue meetings are organized twice a year. The first meeting was held in the Moldovan capital Chisinau. The meetings are hosted in turn by one of the Eastern Partnership countries. In Tbilisi the Foreign Ministers will also discuss foreign policy issues of common interest such as Syria, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Mali.
