Ivanishvili speaks of reasons behind demoting Alasania (Thu 24 January 2013,news.az)

Georgian PM has defined his decision regarding Alasania.

Prime Minister of Georgia has commented on his decision to cancel the duties of the first vice prime minister to Irakli Alasania in Davos, where he is attending international economic forum. Ivanishvili said the reason of his decision was the mistake made by the sacked vice PM. Despite this decision, Alasania remains on the position of the defense minister.
`Irakli Alasania made a mistake when he began to discuss the candidacy for the president inside his party. It was just an elementary misunderstanding, which can happen to any politician,` Bidzina Ivanishvili told journalists.
Ivanishvili said the details of the discussions leaked from that closest circles and was released so widely, that he was asked about it during his visit to Armenia. Ivanishvili says it would be better if Alasania paid more attention to the defense sector.
Prime Minister`s decree on cancelling authority to the first vice prime minister Irakli Alasania was signed on January 21.
